A man has been charged with three counts of criminal homicide after three members of his family were found dead inside a single-family residence on Heather Road in the Churchville section of Northampton Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, authorities said. According to court records, the suspect allegedly admitted his involvement during questioning by investigators.

The case unfolded on Monday, January 26, 2026, when officers from the Northampton Township Police Department were dispatched to the Heather Road home in Churchville, Pennsylvania, following a welfare check request. Police said the request originated after an acquaintance reported being unable to contact one of the occupants who lived at the Churchville address for several days.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, officers made contact with the suspect at the Heather Road residence in Churchville. Authorities said the suspect was armed with knives, refused to comply with police commands, and remained inside the home, prompting officers to secure the surrounding residential area of Northampton Township, Bucks County.

As the situation escalated at the Churchville home, police requested assistance from the South Central Emergency Response Team (SCERT). A standoff followed at the residence on Heather Road, where tactical officers and negotiators worked for several hours to resolve the situation without endangering residents in the surrounding neighborhood.

After the standoff, tactical officers entered the Heather Road residence in Churchville. Inside the home, investigators discovered three deceased victims, all members of the suspect’s immediate family, located in different rooms of the house, police said. Authorities confirmed the deaths occurred inside the residence prior to police entry.

The suspect was taken into custody at the Churchville location without further injuries. He has since been charged with criminal homicide, abuse of a corpse, and related offenses. Prosecutors said the suspect made statements acknowledging responsibility during questioning, though those statements will be evaluated in court.

“This is an extremely tragic incident that occurred in a residential neighborhood here in Northampton Township,” said Bucks County District Attorney Joe Khan. “Based on the evidence gathered from the scene in Churchville, we believe this was an isolated domestic incident and there is no ongoing threat to the community.”

Authorities have not released the identities of the victims or the suspect. The Bucks County Coroner’s Office is conducting autopsies, while detectives continue to process evidence collected from the Churchville residence on Heather Road. The suspect remains held without bail at the Bucks County Correctional Facility and is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
